Pride, The Movie

Pride, The Movie

The hugely successful Queer Screen Film Fest is back again in Sydney – and it’s bigger than ever.

This year’s September season will have 10 sessions of great films, all screening between 17 and 21 September 2014 at cinemas around Sydney’s popular entertainment districts.

The selections represent the very best of international cinema, including the winners of the two biggest queer prizes – the Queer Palm at Cannes Film Festival 2014 and the Teddy Award at Berlin Film Festival 2014.

The Opening Night movie is the delighful THE WAY HE LOOKS by Daniel Ribeiro, winner of the Teddy Award at Berlin Film Festival 2014 and the Audience Award winner at Frameline 2014 in San Francisco. A beautiful teenage story from Brazil that will engage the widest audience.

On Closing Night the film is the entertaining PRIDE by Matthew Warchus, winner of the prestigious Queer Palm at Cannes Film Festival 2014. Its an uplifting British comedy-drama inspired by a remarkable true story.
