Gold Coast Celebrates Bastille Day at Sofitel Soiree

The French certainly know how to throw a soiree and they usually need little excuse.

French hotelier Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is currently preparing for one of the largest annual festivals on the French calendar – Bastille Day. Held on the 14th of July, this iconic celebration commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789 and the subsequent rise of the French revolution.

In homage to this historic event, Madames and Monsieurs are invited to an opulent evening of French festivities at the hotels signature restaurant, Room81. Guests will be treated to Champagne, a divine four-course dinner, matching French wines and colourful entertainment for $165 per person. This magnifique set menu will feature slow roasted trout with crab filled zucchini flower, confit duck tortellini, roasted lamb loin and the popular Framboise soufflé with a decadent white chocolate sauce.

Throughout the evening former Moulin Rouge star Marissa Burgess and her vivacious Cancan dancers will present a series of sensual and theatrical performances backed by French flavoured band ‘Fox Lane’.

Make the most of the festivities and stay the night with Sofitel’s exclusive Bastille Day accommodation, dinner and cabaret package titled Bonne Féte.
